Claude Lévêque at La Verrière,
H Box at the Fondation Beyeler,
Babel, the new work by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and Damien Jalet currently beginning its European tour…

The Fondation d’entreprise Hermès enters its second year with the launch of a new season focusing on the contemporary creative arts in all their diversity, from visual art and design to photography, video and dance…

Art has its own intrinsic value. But it can channel educational and social initiatives, too. Like Gol de Letra and Convoi exceptionnel, two organisations supported by the Foundation since 2009. Transforme is another partner organisation, training young choreographers. The Foundation also supports a range of initiatives aimed at encouraging underprivileged children into school and education.

In this context, the Foundation recognises the importance of the ongoing dialogue between the contemporary arts and traditional craft skills – a dialogue highlighted in two exhibitions staged with our support: Autres maîtres de l’Inde ("Other Masters of India") and Animal.

The INDP is dedicated to training and environmental issues as part of a virtuous cycle promoting social development and the preservation and transmission of local cultures.

I invite you to find out more about these and all our projects,

Catherine Tsékénis
Director, Fondation d’entreprise Hermès

Richard Renaldi at the Gallery at Hermès
Touching Strangers
American photographer Richard Renaldi's experimental approach plays on the contrast between the apparent banality of specific situations, and their inner, inexpressible strangeness. The Touching Strangers series provokes unaccustomed close contact between perfect strangers.
